I am studying seismic activities in order to catch precursors of large earthquakes. I am also studying information for disaster prevention on earthquakes from the both points of view of a seismic researcher and a government. In addition, I am in charge of a secretariat of Coordinating Committee of Earthquake and Volcanic Eruption Prediction Researches (CCEVPR) and promoting researches that are carried out in cooperation among universities and institutions under the national scientific program for disaster mitigation.
