Research:

I study giant earthquakes and tsunamis, that are rare but cause devastating effects once occur, by various methods such as analysis of instrumental records (seismographs or sea level measurements), historical documents or paleoseismological methods such as tsunami deposits or coastal geomorphology. Based on the global and long-term records, I target to forecast occurrence of future earthquakes, tsunami and their hazards.
