研究内容 地球物理学観測を用いた様々な火山現象の解明と火山噴火予知を目指した研究を進めている．特に，地震活動と地殻変動を同時に解析することにより，マグマ溜まりへの蓄積過程や，ダイク貫入などのマグマの移動現象を定量的に捉え，火山噴火に至るまでの機構について研究している．また，近年は，マグマ蓄積中における揮発性成分の挙動と火山周辺の地震活動についての関連についても研究を進めている． 主要論文・著書 森田裕一・浜口博之, 火山体構造探査のための高精度小型ロガーの開発, 火山, 41, 127--139, 1996.
