  1. 13:30-13:45

TITLE: A Dynamic Wedge Failure Mechanism for Efficient Tsunami Generation and Anomalous Seismic Radiation of Shallow Subduction Zone Earthquakes

AUTHOR: * Shuo MA (San Diego State University)

  1. 13:45-14:00

TITLE: Great earthquakes happen on the weak and smooth subduction megathrusts

AUTHOR: * Xiang GAO(Chinese Academy of Sciences), Kelin WANG・ John HE (Geological Survey of Canada)

  1. 14:00-14:15

TITLE: Relative sea-level changes recorded by coral microatolls, implications for Lesser Antilles megathrust seismic behavior

AUTHOR: * Jennifer WEIL-ACCARDO (ERI), Nathalie FEUILLET (IPGP)・Eric JACQUES (IPGP), Pierre DESCHAMPS (CEREGE), François BEAUDUCEL (IPGP)・Jean-Marie SAUREL (IPGP), John GALETZKA (CALTECH), Paul TAPPONNIER (EOS)

SUMMARY: By using coral microatolls we reconstructed relative sea-level changes in Martinique and Guadeloupe over the last two centuries, which allow us to discuss implications for the megathrust seismic behavior at the secular scale.

  1. 14:15-14:30

TITLE: On the effects of along-trench subduction dimension on induced mantle flow and upwellings: Insights from laboratory models
