1. 13:30-13:45
TITLE: Current and future directions of analogue geologic modelling
AUTHOR: * Yasuhiro Yamada(visiting professor, JAMSTEC)
SUMMARY: Analogue modelling is to reproduce geologic deformation structures, e.g. faults and folds. This lecture introduces its current and future directions.

2. 13:45-14:00
TITLE: Interaction of slow slip event and brittle nucleation
AUTHOR: * Makiko OHTANI(AIST), Nobuki KAME, and Masao NAKATANI
SUMMARY: We examined the effect of low cut-off velocity at brittle-to-ductile transition zone under different nucleation size to find how the behavior of preslip changes.

3. 14:00-14:15
TITLE: Data assimilation for massive simulation models based on second-order adjoint method
AUTHOR: * Shin-ichi ITO, Hiromichi NAGAO, Akinori YAMANAKA (Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology), Yuhki TSUKADA (Nagoya University), Toshiyuki KOYAMA (Nagoya University), Masayuki KANO, and Junya INOUE (The University of Tokyo)
SUMMARY: We propose a data assimilation method for massive simulation models utilizing a second-order adjoint method and validate it through numerical estimation tests using a massive phase-field model.

4. 14:15-14:30
TITLE: Strong ground motions and rupture process of the April 16, 2016 Kumamoto earthquake
AUTHOR: Kazuki KOKETSU, Hiroaki KOBAYASHI, Hiroe MIYAKE

5. 14:30-14:45
TITLE: Spatio-temporal evolution of seismicity following the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake
AUTHOR: Aitaro Kato, Jun'ichi Fukuda and Shigeki Nakagawa
