Announcement of the 980th DANWAKAI

(Danwakai: ERI Holds “Danwakai”, a monthly meeting where its members present
their most recent academic and technical achievements, on a
Friday of every month. Danwakai is open to the public.)

1. 13:30-13:45
TITLE: Numerical simulation of slow slip events in the Shikoku and
Hyuganada region
AUTHOR: * Takanori MATSUZAWA(Visiting Associate Professor:NIED) and
Bunichiro SHIBAZAKI (BRI)
SUMMARY: We show the result of numerical simulation which reproduces shallow
and deep slow slip events in the Shikoku and Hyuganada region.

2. 13:45-14:00
TITLE: Development of easy seismometer and fast observations
AUTHOR: * Shin’ichi SAKAI, Aitaro KATO, Satoshi MATSUMOTO(SEVO)
and Yoshihisa IIO(DPRI)
SUMMARY: We introduce an easy seismometer and some example of use.

3. 14:00-14:15
TITLE: Characteristics of seismic activity illuminated by “0.1 manten”
Hyper Dense Seismic Observation
AUTHOR: * Aitaro KATO・Shin’ichi SAKAI, Satoshi MATSUMOTO (SEVO) and
Yoshihisa IIO(DPRI)
SUMMARY: Using waveform recorded by a thousand of seismic stations in
the entire aftershock zone of the 2000 Western-Tottori earthquake, we revealed
a spatial-temporal evolution of micro-seismicity and a deep low-frequency
earthquake accompanying with a preceding high-frequency radiation.

4. 14:15-14:30
TITLE: Feasibility study of omni-directional muography at volcano
AUTHOR: * Shogo NAGAHARA and Seigo MIYAMATO
SUMMARY: We simulated three-dimensional density reconstruction of a volcano
by filtered back projection of omni-directional muography data.

5. 14:30-14:45
TITLE: Gravity measurements on Izu-Oshima Island and its temporal variation
AUTHOR: * Ryuichi NISHIYAMA, Shuhei OKUBO, Yuichi IMANISHI,
Yoshiyuki TANAKA(Graduate School of Science, The University of Tokyo),
Miwako ANDO, Atsushi WATANABE and Shiko SAKASHITA
SUMMARY: We report the results of gravity measurement campaign at Izu-Oshima
Island (November 2018) and discuss the temporal variation of the gravity field
in this decade.

6. 14:45-15:00
TITLE: Surface Deformation of Asama Volcano, Japan, Detected by Time Series
InSAR Combining Persistent and Distributed Scatterers, 2014‒2018
AUTHOR: * Xiaowen WANG and Yosuke AOKI
SUMMARY: We show the recent ground deformation of Asama volcano observed
from time-series InSAR. We also infer the possible mechanisms accounting for
the observed deformation.
