10月12〜17日に中国・北京で開催された第14回世界地震工学会議（14WCEE）において、地震火山災害部門の三宅弘恵助教が 14WCEE Outstanding Paper Award を受賞しました。この賞は、中国の Huixian Earthquake Engineering Foundation と米国の US-China Earthquake Engineering Foundation により、若手の筆頭著者に対して贈られたもので、約1000名の応募者の中から8名が受賞しました。

受賞対象論文は、首都圏における長周期地震動評価のための震源のモデル化に関するもので、纐纈一起教授および古村孝志教授との共著です。なお、三宅助教は文部科学省国際研究集会派遣研究員として本会議に参加しました。
