landslides in the west part of Miyake-jima by activity on
June 26 and 27 (surveyed by Dr. Kawanabe, GSJ; visualized by
Mr. Geshi, Univ. Tokyo). July 1, 2000

at the west of
Miyake-jima. Bird's eye view from NW of

Analysis on June 27 (revised on
June 30) Position of discolored area
analyzed using views by NHK (broadcasting agency). It is at
ca. 1000 m NNW of Imasaki near Ako district. The area is a
few hundred meters across. The direction of its elongation
is WNW-ESE.
