Delta CFF due to two earthquakes of July 1 and 9 in the sea near the Kozushima Island and an earthquake on July 15 in the sea near the Niijima Island
We have calculated static stress change due to three M6 earthquakes. We assume that stress field around the Niijima Island changed siginificantly due to the earthquake on July 15. Earthquakes are likely to occur especially in regions shown in warm colors such as off the west coast of the To-shima and the southwest of the Niijima Island. Delta CFF is given only on a surface 7 km deep. Stress pattern may vary in other depths. The fault model used for this calculation reproduces the result of GPS Observation (GEONET); The Niijima Island had moved 6cm toward north-north-west .
