Abstract Submission

Abstract submission has been closed.

Notification of results on submission will be sent out by e-mail by the end of July 2007

All symposium contributors (scientific sessions) should submit their abstracts to the COV5 International Science Committee no later than May 31 June7, 2007.
On-line submission must follow the instructions below;:

<Step 1: Choose the language>

If you are an overseas contributor, please choose "English Form."
If not, please choose "Japanese Form."
*Japanese contributors need to submit both English and Japanese abstracts.

<Step 2: Enter author information and the title of the paper>

The following items are needed to complete this step.:
IMPORTANT : These items cannot be modified once submitted. Please confirm all information, especially for co-authors, before you proceed.

*The default form can accept up to 5 co-authors. If you wish to include more than 5, please click "more than 5 co-authors." This will allow you to input up to 20 co-authors' information.

Once you click "confirm" to complete this step, an ID and password will be provided. These are required in the next step, (submission of an the abstract body).

<Step 3: Submission of abstract>

Please log in by inputting your ID and password.
It is recommended that the text be prepared beforehand to ensure the following requirements are met:
- No more than 300 words
- No figures or tables
- Written in plain text*
*Follow the instructions below for specific characters.

Abstracts submitted on-line can be modified up until the deadline for abstract submission, May 31 June 7. Log in with your ID and password when you wish to confirm or edit your abstract. Please remember that an abstract may not be edited after the deadline.
A confirmation notice of abstract submission will be sent to you automatically by e-mail.

<Step 4: Notification of result>

The international scientific committee and session conveners will make all decisions on abstract acceptance, session numbers and style of presentation, giving due consideration to contributors' preferences.
Results will be sent to contributors by e-mail by the middle of September.
A program will be uploaded to the website two months prior to the meeting.



Abstract submission (off-line)

Those unable to submit abstracts on-line can send the downloaded format via e-mail to the registration secretariat (cov5-regi@the-convention.co.jp). Please fill in the format according to the instructions. Please also remember that an abstract cannot be modified once it has been submitted. Please also note that incomplete abstracts might not be accepted.
