Self Introduction
Hello. I am a Professor of Geophysics at the University of Nevada in Reno, Nevada. I am very grateful to Prof. Koketsu for inviting me to come to ERI during my sabbatical leave from my home institution.
My main interests are in all aspects of engineering seismology, including describing the distribution and rates of seismicity, understanding strong earthquake ground motions, and probabilistic seismic hazard analysis. I am attracted to come to Japan and to ERI by the excellent scientists and the excellent data. While I am here, we will be collaborating to study the high frequencies of strong ground motions.
