Self Introduction
Hello. I am a Professor of Geophysics at UCLA. I am very grateful to Prof. Hirata for inviting me to come to ERI during my sabbatical leave.
My main interests are in all aspects of the physics of earthquakes and volcanoes, and the relation to hazard. It has always been my ambition to come to Japan and to ERI given the excellent research programme. While I am here, we will be collaborating on comparative subduction zone physics, corner magnitudes and network seismology.
