Self-Introduction
I am currently an associate professor (maître de conférences), responsible for the theme "Earth and Planetary Interiors" at Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris (http://www.ipgp.fr/en/fuji-nobuaki). I have been working on developments of numerical/theoretical methods of seismic wave propagation and inversion of seismological/seismic data, especially including anelastic attenuation, from a granite sample to global Earth and Mars. Also, I have been a developer of injection methods for several scales and configurations, and waveform inversion methods using them ("box inversion"), that couple two numerical schemes in the same time to facilitate the wavefield calculation inside a localised box, disconnected from sources and/or receivers. I am now interested in what I call "waveform seismic filtering", in order to look at the sensitivity of seismic attributes to the geodynamical parameters. During my stay in Earthquake Research Institute, I will apply the box inversion methods to the broadband data to detail the upper mantle structure beneath the Philippines Sea.
