I am a post-doctoral researcher at the Ecole Normale Supérieure, Paris.
My main research interests are earthquakes that occur in subduction zones.
My work aims at better understanding their physics using data analysis
(seismic catalogs and seismic waveforms).
During my PhD at ISTerre, Grenoble, I used Repeatings Earthquakes (seismic
events that come from the same rupture zone and that present highly similar
waveforms) to assess the link between seismic and aseismic slip in the
Japanese subduction zone. I mainly focused on the Boso Peninsula and Kanto
areas. I am very familiar with the analysis and processing of seismic waveforms.
I am also interested in deep-focus earthquakes that occur at depth larger
than 300km, especially in studying their spatio-temporal dynamics to better
constrain their mechanisms. Recently, I started to work on experimental
studies that are analogues to shallow and deep-focus earthquakes. This
is my first visit to ERI (I am here for 2 months) and I am looking forward
to meeting people, establishing new research collaborations and indulging
in Japanese food.
