Self Introduction

I am Professor of Geophysics at University Paris-Diderot and IPG of Paris. My main research interests are related to observational seismology and its application to investigate deep Earth processes. I worked for many years on the effect of seismic anisotropy on free oscillations, surface waves, body waves, and obtained global and regional anisotropy 3D tomography. More recently I launch new projects on seismic sources (tectonic, environmental) by time reversal imaging methods.

I was first invited for 3 months in 2008 by Prof. Hitoshi Kawakatsu and I visited again ERI for 1month in 2009 and 2010. I had opportunity to work with many people in his group, on global tomography from seismic hum, regional anisotropic tomography by using OBS data and theoretical developments of time reversal techniques. I am now visiting for 4 weeks and my new stay will be primarily devoted to anisotropy investigation at different scales but I am open to any new projects. My office is T-22 and do not hesitate to drop by to chat.
