Self Introduction
My name is Weerachai Siripunvaraporn. I got my Ph.D. in geophysics from Oregon State University, USA. Currently, I am Assoc. Professor at Department of Physics, Faculty of Sciecne, Mahidol University located in Bangkok, Thailand. In mid 2002, I came to ERI, University of Tokyo as a JSPS Postdoc fellowship and worked with Assoc. Professor Makoto Uyeshima.
My main field of research is about the electromagnetic induction in the earth and particularly the development of 3-D MT Inversion codes. Currently at ERI, i am working with Professor Hisashi Utada. Here, i will apply my 3-D code to study the electrical conductivity beneath the Pacific Ocean. This is my second stay at ERI, i really enjoy Tokyo and the whole Japan. Japanese food is excellent. Thought i cannot (or barely) speak japanese, i feel comfortable in Tokyo. It is a wonderful moment to do research.
