Self Introduction
I am an observational seismologist and my research focuses on transient stress changes at seismogenic depth, subsurface hydrothermal fluid migration, and fault-zone rheology, by making use of seismic data from characteristically repeating earthquakes and temporal evolutions of repeating earthquake activity.
At ERI, I will work with Prof. Aitaro Kato to investigate spatial variations in Vp/Vs ratio at the Geysers geothermal field, CA, using S-P differential times from similar event clusters. Another research project is to explore spatiotemporal behaviors of earthquake multiplets, especially its relationship with the geothermal production and injection well activity.
