Izu-Oshima Volcano Observatory
(OVO)

OVO was established in 1984, integrating geomagnetic and Tsunami observatories. The aims are 1) research of various volcanic phenomena and the application to prediction of eruption, 2) exploration of underground structure of volcano, 3) clarifying relationship between volcanic activity and tectonics.
