関東地震100年国際シンポジウム

International Symposium on the Centennial of
the 1923 Kanto Earthquake

　概要　

　内容　

    1923年の関東地震から100年の間、関東地震の発生機構、震源断層および周辺の構造、長期的な地震の発生確率、断層面上の固着の分布および関東地震震源域への応力の再蓄積等を明らかにするために多くの努力がなされてきました。また、過去に発生した同様の都市周辺の地震に関する研究や、将来の地震についての評価も、世界のいくつかの場所で行われています。本シンポジウムでは、こうした取り組みを概観するとともに、関東およびその他の都市部における地震に関する研究の今後の方向性について議論します。

    ※発表言語は英語で、日本語訳はありません。専門家向けのシンポジウムですが、一般の方の参加も歓迎します。
