CiNii Books
Catalog of academic journals and books kept by university libraries in Japan and their location details.
NDL Search
NDL Search is a service that allows users to search for materials and digital materials from the National Diet Library and request for various services.
In addition, NDL search allows users to search for bibliographies and location information of Japanese books held by prefectural libraries and ordinance-designated city libraries, and search for other materials and digital materials provided by public, university, specialized libraries, and academic research institutions nationwide.

CiNii Research
You can collectively search information on CiNii Articles, CiNii Books, and CiNii Dissertations provided by CiNii. Research data and research project information are also searched.
Web of Science
Web of Science is a database of articles in major academic journals of all subject fields. It allows you to find articles citing these works or that share a common reference, as well as to limit a search by keywords.
In addition to journals, conference proceedings, books, research data, etc. are included.
GeoRef / American Geological Institute
The GeoRef database, established by the American Geosciences Institute (AGI) in 1966, provides access to the most comprehensive geoscience literature of the world. Available through GeoScienceWorld platform.

UTokyo Repository
The UTokyo Repository allows open access to a wide range of research results of members of The University of Tokyo (including papers in academic journals, dissertations, bulletins, etc.). It also contains many ERI publications such as the ERI Bulletin.
Doctorial Dissertation Database, The Unviersity of Tokyo
Bibliographies and abstracts of dissertations submitted for a newly conferred course and research doctor's degrees of The University of Tokyo. Years covered: Bibliographies 1957-, Abstracts 1994-.

Newspaper articles

Nikkei Telecom 21 (日経テレコン21)
This database provides the search and full-texts of articles on newspapers published by Nikkei since April, 1975. The number of simultaneous sessions is limited. (Japanese language only)
Asahi Shimbun Cross-Search (朝日新聞クロスサーチ)
This database contains full-text articles from the Asahi Shimbun (since 1945), AERA weekly magazine (since 1988), and Shukan Asahi weekly magazine (since April 2000). (Japanese language only)(Simultaneous users:4)
Maisaku (The Mainichi Newspapers Database)
In addition to full text searches and access to articles of Mainichi News and Weekly Economist, searches for images of Mainichi from 1872 (the first issue) to 1999 are also possible. Searches for results of opinion polls conducted yearly by Mainichi Press since 1945 are also possible. (Simultaneous users: 2. Japanese language only)

Tectonic Zone Project : Database for Earthquake Historical Materials (ひずみ集中帯プロジェクト:古地震・津波等の史資料データベース)
This database covers historical reviews for published and unpublished materials regarding historical earthquakes that occurred in Niigata, Yamagata, and Nagano Prefectures, as well as surrounding areas in the Edo era. (Japanese language only)
