ERI members can still access the library at any time via fingerprint authentication.

The Library will be temporarily closed on temporarily closed Wednesday, June 3, 2026, due to the approaching typhoon.

Completion of the Special Collections Database Migration (2026/4/9)
We would like to inform you that the materials on the ERI Library Special Collections Database, The University of Tokyo have been migrated. Image materials have been moved to the UTokyo Digital Archives Portal, and PDF materials to the UTokyo Repository.
The URLs after the migration are as follows:
Previously, a paper-based application was required to use the images, but with this migration, they are now freely available for use under terms equivalent to the Creative Commons "CC BY 4.0" license.
We encourage you to make use of them.
Please note that the original "ERI Library Special Collections Database" website is scheduled to close soon closed due to system aging. Please use the new sites after the closure.
(March 13 Morning) Reading Room Unavailable (2026/3/12)
The reading room will be unavailable in the morning of March 13. You can still use the stacks and borrow and return books as usual.
