Introduction: Dr. Ding-Jiun Lin is a geophysicist specializing in electromagnetic geophysical prospecting, with strong expertise in geomagnetic depth sounding (GDS), magnetotelluric (MT) methods, and electrical resistivity imaging. He earned his Ph.D. in Geophysics from the Department of Earth Sciences at National Central University, Taiwan, and is currently a project researcher at the Earthquake Research Institute (ERI), University of Tokyo.

His academic pursuits focus on understanding subsurface structures and groundwater systems through advanced EM techniques. His research spans both onshore and offshore environments, including contributions to OBEM data analysis, tectonic structure studies in Taiwan, and Arctic expeditions assessing permafrost dynamics.

Dr. Lin has participated in multiple high-impact field projects and international research cruises, notably the Oldest 2 Array expeditions across the Pacific, as well as ground-based surveys in Svalbard and Taiwan. He is currently working on OBEM data analysis and forward modeling to investigate the deep structure beneath the Pacific and Philippine seas, in collaboration with researchers from the University of Tokyo.
