1. 13:30-13:45

TITLE: A simple method to evaluate the uncertainty of magnetotelluric forward modeling for practical three‑dimensional conductivity

AUTHOR: *Kiyoshi BABA

SUMMARY: I propose a method to evaluate the uncertainty in the foward modeling of magnetotelluric responses to a practical three-dimensional conductivity structure model in terms of random error because of the arbitral selection of horizontal coordinate system.

2. 13:45-14:00

TITLE: On the Development of Shear Surface Roughness

AUTHOR: *Manaska MUKHOPADHYAY, Uddalak BISWAS(Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur), Nibir MANDAL (Jadavpur University, Kolkata) and Santanu MISRA (Indian Institute of Technlogy, Kanpur)

SUMMARY: We investigated a unique type of slickenside, studied the shear surface roughness from field as well as laboratory experiments using fractal dimensional analysis and proposed a possible mechanism for its formation using basic numerical simulations.

3. 14:00-14:15

TITLE: Compilation of Historical Materials on Earthquake and Volcanic Eruption and Detection of Seismicity in the Premodern Period

AUTHOR: *Yasuyuki KANO・Hiroshi TSURUOKA・Fukashi MAENO・ Junzo OHMURA, Masaharu EBARA and Reiko SUGIMORI (Historiographical Institute)
