TITLE: Local heat flow variations on the outer rise of the Japan Trench: Implications for heterogeneous structure of the oceanic crust

SUMMARY:We report heat flow variations at a scale of several kilometers observed on the Japan Trench outer rise, which may reflect fracture development process in the oceanic crust due to plate bending.
