Introduction: I am a former Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Nanyang Technological University (NTU). I received my Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from Hefei University of Technology in 2022. From 2019 to 2020, I conducted joint doctoral training at NTU and subsequently worked there as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Earthquake Research Institute (ERI). My research focuses on high-accuracy numerical modeling of acoustic, elastic, poroelastic (Biot’s equations), and seismoelectric (Pride’s equations) wave propagation using finite-difference and finite-element methods. My research also encompasses seismic tomography, including joint traveltime tomography using direct P and Moho-reflected PmP phases to image the velocity structure of the entire crust, as well as the development of a ray-free adjoint-state attenuation tomography method for imaging crustal and upper-mantle Q structures. These approaches are applied to investigate the thermal and fluid-related structures beneath subduction zones, oceanic crust, and mid-ocean ridges. At ERI, I will collaborate with Prof. Nozomu Takeuchi to apply the adjoint-state attenuation tomography method to S-net and Hi-net observations, with the aim of imaging the attenuation and thermal structures beneath the oceanic crust and subduction zone systems in and around the Aomori earthquake region.
