Theme: Seismic array constraints on deep mantle layering
Host: Hitoshi KAWAKATSU/Nozomu TAKEUCHI
Introduction: My primary area of research is investigating Earth’s structure by waveform modeling. Much of my work has specialized in mapping seismic structure of the deep mantle and developing numerical techniques to model seismic wave propagation. But, I have more recently branched out towards upper mantle targets such as upper mantle discontinuities and also working on structural health monitoring of natural features such as arches and natural bridges. I am here working with Professors Nozomu Takeuchi and Hitoshi Kawakatsu on deep Earth structure.
