Theme: Structure and Evolution of the Oceanic Lithosphere
Host: Kiyoshi BABA
Introduction: My primary field of research is in the use of electromagnetic methods to study the Earth. Most recently I have used these techniques to study subduction zones and the structure of the oceanic lithosphere. I am one of the scientists involved in an NSF funded project looking at the structure of 70Ma lithosphere in the western Pacific. While at ERI I will be working with scientists who have conducted a similar experiment in slightly older lithosphere. We will be able to compare results and methods for interpreting our electrical models.
