Introduction: I am an early carrier researcher at the CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute, Hyderabad, India. I received my PhD from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India in 2016. My research interest is characterizing the crustal and mantle anisotropy and inferring the deep mantle structure. My PhD work is focused on understanding the receiver- and source-side, and D'' anisotropy using the core-refracted phases for the seismic stations beneath India. During which, I try to understand the past and present mantle deformation patterns beneath India. Infer the possible contribution of azimuthal anisotropy from the D'' layer. Also, characterize the source side anisotropy using the isotropic stations beneath India. One of the significant contributions from my PhD work involves finding evidence of azimuthal anisotropy in the D'' layer beneath southeastern Asia.
Previously, as a Postdoc fellow, I worked at the ERI, UTokyo, for a year, during which I marked the boundary and topography of the western Pacific LLSVP. Afterwards, I worked on understanding the crustal deformation pattern beneath the reservoir-induced seismicity and orogenic regions. Synthesis of the upper mantle anisotropy beneath India results in the observation of weak anisotropy contribution from the Indian lithosphere.
During my stay at ERI, UTokyo, I will try to understand the structure and mantle dynamics of the Indian mantle lithosphere beneath the Himalayas and southern Tibet region. I will carry out the upper mantle tomography for the area. To improve the resolution, I will combine the triplicate P phases.
