Introduction: Wei Wang is an associate professor at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Science and Technology of China. He earned his Ph.D. in Geophysics from Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California, San Diego. He then was a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Southern California. His research focuses on studying the Earth's scattering and attenuation structure from the uppermost crust to the innermost inner core, aimed at improving the assessment of seismic hazard and the understanding of the Earth's evolutionary history.
