Source properties of the 17 July 1998 Papua New Guinea tsunami based on tide gauge records

* Mohammad Heidarzadeh, Kenji Satake

We talk about the landslide tsunami of 17 July 1998 Papua New Guinea

 2.   13:45-14:00

Large-scale quasi-dynamic earthquake cycle simulations with Hierarchical matrices method

* Makiko Ohtani, Kazuro Hirahara (Kyoto University)

Equivalence of the Burridge-Knopoff model of earthquake and the Edwards-Wilkinson interface

* Soumyajyoti Biswas (ERI), Purusattam Ray (Institute of Mathematical Science),

Bikas K. Chakrabarti (Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics)

We will discuss the equivalence between Edwards-Wilkinson interface model anda version of the

Burridge-Knopoff earthquake model, where the friction is replaced by random pinning.

 4.   14:15-14:30

Dynamical and statistical properties on desiccation crack pattern

* Shin-ichi ITO, Satoshi YUKAWA (Osaka University)

We report the theoretical and experimental results of the investigation of the dynamical and

statistical properties on the desiccation crack pattern.
