Risk Frontiers: world class risk modeling

Speaker: Felipe Dimer de Oliveira
Risk Frontiers is an independent research institution established to increase the understanding of risk for the insurance and reinsurance industry. Over the years, we have developed a range of products for this end: from historical databases to catastrophe loss models. Risk Frontiers was created with multidisciplinary skill, from physics to GIS, from social sciences to history and mathematics and computer science. In this talk we will present the range of the main achievements of Risk Frontiers over the last years. Our catastrophe loss models, encapsulated by the multi-peril workbench and also present some of our most significant published research, including our study of earthquake cluster detection presented at the JPGU meeting.
