TITLE: Construction of the large-scale groundwater Cherenkov detector Hyper-Kamiokande
AUTHOR: *Yasuhiro NISHIMURA(Keio University) and Akimichi TAKETA
SUMMARY: In particle and cosmic ray physics, construction is underway on Hyper-Kamiokande, a detector that will significantly improve the sensitivity of neutrino observation and proton decay searches by using 260,000 tons of water at a depth of 600 meters underground. With the detector’s construction approaching in 2027, this report will cover the current status of construction, the detector construction plan, and the prospects for future observations.

TITLE: Unexpected Aseismic Slip Transients on the Historically Quiescent Elsinore Fault Zone

SUMMARY: Using a high-resolution relocated earthquake catalog, we identify previously unresolved, near-synchronous aseismic-slip transients on both flanks of the low-b-value region that hosted the 2025 Mw 5.2 earthquake on the historically quiescent Elsinore Fault Zone.
